Vivrelle is a designer rental service providing members access to rent coveted designer handbags, jewelry, watches and diamonds for a monthly membership fee. Launched in 2018, the subscription-based service separates membership into four closet tiers. The name is derived from two French words: "vivre" meaning "to live" and "elle" meaning "she" – embodying the brand’s focus to make women feel more alive through fashion.
Vivrelle’s original site was built by another agency on Craft CMS and maintained for a year after launch. After that timeframe, the brand was looking for a new partner to sustain the site and to move it forward with continual improvements.
Vivrelle decided to partner with Clearfire in 2020. When we took over the existing platform, the company was beginning to experience major growth, so we implemented immediate solutions to stabilize the site and correct performance issues.
One of the main problems was that the site was initially built in a rigid way that didn’t allow for significant changes. However, the business had evolved beyond that. Vivrelle needed new ways for women to rent fashion items, and the original code wasn’t created with those changes in mind.
Not only did Clearfire adapt the code for Vivrelle’s latest initiatives, we’ve partnered with the company on a retainer basis for their ongoing website development needs since 2020.
Since starting, Clearfire has worked with Vivrelle on design, infrastructure upgrades, site monitoring, consulting and strategy with new product launches, and much more. As the primary marketing and development agency for the brand, we also designed and developed a native iOS mobile app as they expanded their offerings.
In the short time since inception, Vivrelle has experienced explosive growth. They've grown their in-house development team, and are migrating to a new back-office eCommerce platform better suited for their needs.
