Sanispire is an Illinois-based manufacturer specializing in high-end dispensing products. Launched at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sanispire’s foot-operated, free-standing sanitizer unit created a way for schools, healthcare facilities and other industries to offer a touchless sanitizing solution. Sanispire’s dispensers require no batteries or assembly, accept any refill brands and can be fully customized.
Sanispire launched their business with a basic Shopify site but was looking for a more custom, flexible solution to market their brand and business as they grow.
From the start, Sanispire wanted to increase overall traffic to their site, reduce their bounce rate and ultimately boost revenue across all product lines, particularly driving B2B sales.
To meet these goals, we wanted to give Sanispire a robust content management system (CMS), which would allow them to create custom product landing pages and present their products with enhanced visual appeal. We also wanted to improve Sanispire’s checkout experience within Shopify to increase conversion rates.
Sanispire turned to Clearfire to design and build a new, custom responsive website with an ecommerce platform and CMS that could incorporate rich media into web pages, such as images, video and documents.
To achieve Sanispire’s business objectives, we designed and developed a custom Craft CMS marketing site with integrations into Sanispire’s Shopify ecommerce platform. This type of integration was critical because we didn’t want Sanispire’s user experience to feel like a navigation between two separate sites.
When completing a redesign like this, we follow a phased approach. We began the project by researching target audiences, identifying a user persona, and creating a discovery report that outlines key project objectives and design touchpoints. We also used analytics to identify potential new opportunities.
From there, we assembled the initial architecture of the website, detailing each page on the site. Visually sketching out the content pages and how each one is related ensures that we’re building the site from a user-centric approach.

We then wireframed the site and moved to high-fi design. To begin this process, we created a style guide of how Sanispire’s brand should be used and how to incorporate the color schemes into each part of the site, from logos to call-to-action buttons.
Our style guide outlined the overall mood the design would follow, as well as the color palette, button styles, and typography.
Wireframes are simplified sketches that help establish the structure and heirarchy of information on each page before high fidelity designs are created.
Low fidelity wireframes are then converted into high fidelity designs.

When time came to go live with the updated site, we performed an extensive process to ensure quality control – optimizing SEO, testing all browsers and checking for page speed and performance. Then we were ready to launch!
The final result gave Sanispire a custom Craft CMS website, integrated with a themed Shopify site, offering potential buyers a clean, intuitive design with custom product content and a seamless order experience. The responsive design of the new site works well across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
Because we integrated Craft CMS with Shopify, we also provided guidance to Sanispire’s team on how to efficiently manage two separate systems.
