Digital Project Manager

Clearfire is searching for a Digital Project Manager to join our team. This is a remote position, and we're looking for a full-time team member with US daytime availability.

About the Role

As a Project Manager at Clearfire, you will collaborate with our designers, developers, and Director of Operations to achieve successful project outcomes. Your responsibilities will include overseeing budgets and timelines, ensuring client communication and satisfaction, mitigating risks, and managing issues that arise during projects. To be successful in this role, you should be a great communicator, both in person and in writing, and have a strong understanding of digital marketing, web design and development processes, and digital project management best practices.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage client projects to ensure delivery of work is on time, on budget, and up to our standards of quality
  • Work closely with Clearfire Director of Operations to plan, forecast, and schedule team work and priorities
  • Create and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets, and tracking and reporting on progress towards goals
  • Proactively manage client relationships and communication throughout the life of your projects, including setting and managing client expectations
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues, and developing contingency plans as needed
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered to a high-quality standard, including conducting quality assurance reviews and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices

Types of Projects

The projects you’ll be responsible for will vary from small marketing website designs and builds and ongoing maintenance work to large custom-built multi-faceted web applications. You can explore examples of the types of projects we’ve recently built.

Skills & Experience

  • 2-5 years of project management experience, preferably within the digital space
  • 2-5 years of client-facing experience
  • Ability to adapt and manage changing project courses and complex stakeholder groups
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, web development, and design principles
  • Excellent proactive communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • A resourceful, self-starting approach to problem-solving, documentation, and communication
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals
  • Capable of flagging potential risks and concerns to appropriate internal stakeholders throughout a project
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with project management software and remote tools (e.g. Basecamp, Slack, Forecast) and a working knowledge of project management methodologies and processes
  • Strong presentation and verbal skills, and the ability to communicate complex project information to stakeholders and clients clearly and concisely

Nice to haves:

  • Certifications in project management, such as PMP or Louder Than Ten, or other relevant certifications in digital marketing or related fields
  • Experience with different project management methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall, as well as a willingness to adapt to new methodologies and tools as needed
  • Experience with WordPress or Craft CMS as a project manager or otherwise
  • Knowledge or experience with SEO, Google analytics, web accessibility, and UX best practices
