Clearfire is a small, creative studio based in Springfield, IL. We live, breathe, think, and dream design and code (yes, we're geeks). If you have an idea for the web, then we're here to put it there. If your idea is already on the web, then we're here to make it better. We work with businesses, both large and small, to create usable, visually appealing web sites using web standards. From the initial consultation to a finished site, we can help you develop and maintain a professional web presence.
Casey Reid / Owner, Developer
Casey is the owner and lead developer at Clearfire. He grew up on the West Coast, primarily in Las Vegas, before landing in Illinois on a college basketball scholarship. While earning his degree in information systems, Casey narrowed his focus to the web. He didn't make the web, but he knew he wanted to make it better. After college, Casey was able to get his hands dirty with web design and development in the corporate world. After a couple years at his start-up jobs, Casey decided that it was time to do his own thing. His desire to have a closer relationship with his clients, to work on more rewarding projects, and to ditch his 60 minute commute each way, every day, eventually led him to start Clearfire in the Fall of 2007.
When Casey's not busying himself as an internet maker, he focuses on other important things, like his lovely wife, Jessica, and their 2.0 kids. Casey drinks tea, loves candy, hates winter, and is a passionate sports fan.
Jon Thomas / Designer, Developer
Jon is the designer and front-end developer at Clearfire. He grew up in Hawaii and somehow landed in the midwest. He's always had a passion for technology and art and expresses them through web design. Jon enjoys working in variety of disciplines including visual design, development, usability, interaction and other areas that combine to give the user a great experience. After working in IT shops for several large companies, Jon joined Clearfire where he gets the satisfaction of working directly with clients and the enjoyment of working on a wide variety of projects.
If he's not glued to Twitter or catching up on the latest web activity, he's usually hanging out with is wife. He also spends time working on side projects, fighting his coffee addiction, attempting to do something physical at the gym, or pwning noobs in Call of Duty. He really needs to get out more.
